Dallas Hyundai Dealer Supports Community Revitalization

Bob Stallings Hyundai is excited to learn about more efforts in the community of South Dallas. This past weekend they attended Youth World's Shoe Ride. Among them, a few other companies and groups were there to drop off shoes to the 300 kids who are part of Darla Shirley's program in town. They welcome any information regarding revitalization efforts of the community.


"When we announced that our dealership would be donating about 50 shoes, over half ended up being donated by our employees directly. We all love participating in community events, especially those that benefit children." -Lindsey Stuart

The employees at the local Dallas Hyundai store were eager to find out ways to help support the shoe program.


Giving back to the community is an important part of Bob's leadership values that he instills in our company. Growing up, he came from circumstances that were in many ways similar to those of the children who benefit from the blessings of Youth World. Bob is a father of three daughters and also has 8 grandchildren. "Knowing that these kids are getting help with their reading and schoolwork is important to me," Bob mentioned as we discussed why Youth World is close to his heart. "My father taught me some basics of business negotiations but, it was my grandfather who would find a way to spoil me. He could never spend much money but, he found ways to make even the little things special." Bob  hopes to have continued involvement helping Youth World to provide fun and exciting ways to mentor local South Dallas kids. He first learned about the program when he was solicited to help get the basketball court built out. And, through his private family foundation, he was able to help get things started. Bob along with other dealership personnel plan to visit the learning center on a more regular basis.




Ward Jones, Finance Specialist at Bob Stallings Hyundai, came from this neighborhood. He even attended Carter High School. He is currently a member at Friendship Baptist Church.

"Getting to know and hang out with business men who are also minorities will be an integral part of their future success," stated Marcus Williams, Director of Sales Operations for Bob Stallings Hyundai. "Having a strong, professional influence from my Pastor growing up gave me the foundation for how to conduct myself later in life. It's important that we find a way to give back to these kids so that they might have us as an example."
