Milestones

		October 2004 Bob Stallings wins Formula Atlantic National Championship at the SCCA Runoffs, amateur racing’s Super Bowl
		May 2005 GAINSCO/Bob Stallings Racing makes Rolex Series Daytona Prototype debut at Laguna Seca with Stallings and Alex Gurney
		July 2005 First pole by Gurney at Barber Motorsports Park in just the team’s third start
		August 2005 Second-place at Watkins Glen is team’s first top-three finish and Stallings best Rolex Series finish ever
		April 2006 Two-time Toyota Atlantic champion Jon Fogarty joins team as co-driver, replacing Stallings
		January 2007 Gurney wins pole for Rolex 24 At Daytona but early contact and mechanical problems force retirement
		March 2007 One race following their disappointing Rolex 24 finish, team scores first win at Mexico City
		September 2007 GAINSCO wins first Championship at season-ending race in Utah with then-series-record seven wins in season’s 14 races
		January 2008 Debuting “dream team” lineup of drivers (with Jimmie Johnson and Jimmy Vasser) finishes second in Rolex 24, the best finish for team in its third attempt at the race
		May 2008 Team fields a two-car entry at Laguna Seca with Vasser sharing the No. 98 with comeback driver Cristiano da Matta
		June 2008 After falling to 23rd after an early spin, GAINSCO scores a record comeback win in the rain at Mid-Ohio
		September 2009 Gurney and Fogarty earn then-leading all-time Daytona Prototype 12th win in Utah, team’s series-leading fourth of the season
		October 2009 Team clinches second title with fourth-place finish in Miami after Fogarty earns all-time record 14th career pole
		July 2010 Only 2010 win is in NJ from pole, the first of two poles in the year for Fogarty, who extends the series record to 16
		August 2011 Second of season and first-ever Montreal victory where Fogarty wins second of three poles to end year with series-record-extending 19
		January 2012 GAINSCO unveils new No. 99 “Red Dragon” Corvette Daytona Prototype at Rolex 24 At Daytona testing
		March 2013 Team earns home-state Texas victory from Fogarty’s 24th career pole in inaugural sports car race at Circuit of The Americas.
		January 2014 Alex Gurney scores pole position for at the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona, the inaugural race for the IMSA TUDOR United Sports Car Championship.  31st pole position for Bob Stallings Racing.
		December 2014 GAINSCO/Bob Stallings Racing announces 2015 racing entry in the Pirelli World Challenge. Jon Fogarty will drive the No. 99 GAINSCO Auto Insurance/Hyundai Genesis Coupe in the GTS category. Summer 2015....Bob Stallings Hyundai Can't Wait!

Memorial Day Note from Bob

Memorial Day is an important opportunity for all Americans to remember the men and women who have given their lives in the defense of our country. I served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War and was very fortunate to have never seen battle, but many of my high school friends lost their lives in defense of our way of life and of my personal opportunity to pursue my own hopes and dreams. I am so grateful for their sacrifice and the sacrifice of their family members. Please take a moment on Memorial Day to think of how we have all benefited from the men and women of the US Military who laid down their lives for our freedom and our way of life.  Memorial Day isn’t just a Holiday, it’s a day to honor and remember what they did for us.
